D Day Ancestors:
The British Army in Normandy

(NAC a162435)

D Day Ancestors was first launched in 2004 for the 60th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings. The site then listed all those killed on 6th June 1944 and also contained some additional information.

This new site is dedicated to the activities of British & Commonwealth forces in the Normandy Campaign June - August 1944.

The site will include details on the battlefields: the cemeteries, memorials, museums and places of interest.

It will also contain historical information, maps, book reviews and first hand accounts of battle.

And it will still contain the only on-line listing of all British & Commonwealth servicemen who died on 6th June 1944.

The site is by Paul Reed, military historian, author and broadcaster. Paul is the son of a WW2 veteran and has been visiting Normandy for more than 25 years.

2006-2007: The site has under-gone a major rebuilt. All the old information has been transferred over, and new information will be gradually added. Please be patient while it is added - and keep calling back!
